Rob Roy Net Zero Fellow Research Event
Rob Roy Net Zero Fellow Research Event
Monday, October 28, 2024 (4:00 PM - 5:30 PM) (PDT)
Description
Learn best practices from one of Oregon’s lead multifamily housing developers
Join Energy Trust of Oregon on October 28 at the Phoenix Civic Center for a thoughtful discussion with one of Oregon’s lead affordable multifamily housing developers and Net Zero Fellow Rob Roy, who will share replicable strategies and a new tool from his research analyzing the energy performance of completed multifamily housing projects.
Through his research, Rob evaluated the efficacy and replicability of Pacific Crest’s financial model, which considers the long-term monetary impact of implementing various energy efficiency measures and renewable energy systems. Rob’s research also includes a decision-making template that other developers and design teams can use to evaluate the impacts of energy efficiency measures and renewable energy systems over the lifespan of their projects.
Rob’s research is particularly relevant to Southern Oregon, underscoring the importance of affordable housing in the region, and providing resources that advance Net Zero design and construction.
Learn about other efficient buildings enrolled in the Energy Trust New Buildings program, including the event space at the Phoenix Civic Center. The newly opened building is also part of the 2020 Alameda wildfire rebuild efforts, and will serve as a community hub during emergencies, exemplifying the need for both resiliency and energy efficiency.
Rob led the research with funding from Energy Trust’s Net Zero Fellowship. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with Rob about the research and its applicability to your own work.
