Administrative Assistant
Location: Medford, Oregon
Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time (32 hours per week)
Pay: $16 - $17.50 per hour, depending on experience
ABOUT THE ROLE
At New Life Church of the Nazarene, we believe that strong leadership is built on a foundation of care, organization, and clear communication. We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Lead Team, helping to create a smooth and efficient environment where ministry can thrive. In this role, you will help manage schedules, coordinate events, and ensure communication flows seamlessly, allowing our pastors and staff to focus on serving our church family. RESPONSIBILITIES
General Church & Staff Support
- Maintain and oversee the church calendar, scheduling all-staff events and trainings
- Handle logistics for events, including bookings, catering, and coordination
- Manage church elections and prepare necessary documentation
- Send weekly updates to staff to keep them informed and prepared
- Take meeting notes and follow up on action items
- Assist with donor investment projects, staff retreats, pastoral planning, and conferences
- Facilitate communication with the Church Board and prepare necessary documents
Lead Team Support
- Manage and oversee the Lead Pastor’s calendar
- Filter and manage incoming communication (phone, email, etc.) for the Lead Pastor
- Assist in preparing meeting agendas for all-staff and Lead Team meetings
- Track and process credit card statements and expenses for the Lead Team
- Plan and execute staff celebrations, including birthdays and anniversaries
- Maintain important reports, data, and organizational files
- Assist with project execution and administrative tasks related to leadership initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
- Order and manage office and kitchen supplies for the entire staff
- Provide central support for multiple church campuses
- Coordinate and recruit volunteers for various administrative tasks
- Handle general administrative duties as needed

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Proficiency in MS Word & Excel preferred
- Experience with Planning Center Online a plus
- Prior administrative experience highly preferred
