Community Service Officer (part-time)
Medford Police Department is recruiting for multiple part-time Community Service Officers to perform support service tasks related to the department’s mission. We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated with excellent communication skills and who want to make a positive impact in our community. Community Service Officers (CSO’s) are civilian employees who perform a variety of duties that do not require the authority of a sworn law enforcement officer but have a high factor of responsibility, liability, and criticality such as investigating code enforcement complaints, issuing citations for violations of the Medford Municipal Code, completing required documentation, and testifying in court. This part-time position is flexible and can be scheduled up to 25 hours/week based on the employee and department needs with the possibility of weekends and evening shifts (not including graveyard shifts). |
Compensation & Information on Benefits: |
The anticipated hiring range for the Community Service Officer position is $28.34 (first step). Directly related experience and qualifications will be evaluated alongside others who perform work of comparable character as required by Pay Equity Law. Six steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps. INCLUDED BENEFITS:
