Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in social work, judicial, legal or law enforcement field, which must include clerical, administrative support or customer relations experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice or other specific area of study as deemed applicable may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Judicial experience, especially jury administration and management.

Available Schedules:

  • 8 hours daily, Monday - Friday
  • Opportunity for alternate schedule after the first 90-days:
    • 9-80 (nine-hour workdays with a three-day weekend every other week)

  • Scheduled salary increases and a potential 2.5% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) are anticipated effective July 1, 2025
  • Educational incentive pay:
    – Additional 2.5% for an Associate’s Degree
    – Additional 5% for a Bachelor’s Degree


The anticipated hiring range for the Court Program Specialist position is $25.86 (first step) to $27.16 or $28.52 (second or third step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Six steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
