Join the City of Medford’s Engineering team as an Engineering Technician III for Records & Mapping, and play a vital role in shaping the infrastructure that supports our community. In this in-person, full-time role, you’ll work closely with another mapping technician to maintain and update GIS databases, review as-built data, and ensure accurate records of our storm drain and sanitary sewer systems. Required Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
- Four (4) years of engineering or related technical experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, surveying, construction management, computer science, or other specific area of study as deemed applicable may substitute for four (4) years of experience; or
- Associate’s degree in areas of study listed above may substitute for two (2) years of experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as those listed above.
- GIS Certificate
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, including Civil 3D pipe networks
- Skills in GIS scripting languages such as Python and Arcade
- Familiarity with civil construction plans and drafting conventions
- Knowledge of sanitary sewer or storm drain conveyance systems, including pipe types, structures, and construction methods
Available Schedules:
- 8 hours daily, Monday - Friday
- Opportunity for alternate schedule after the first 90-days:
- 9-80 (nine-hour workdays with a three-day weekend every other week)
