As a Recreation Leader II at Rogue X, you'll support a variety of recreational programs including sports, arts and crafts, games, and community rentals for youth and adults. You’ll be part of a dynamic team helping to organize, promote, and lead activities that bring the community together in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.

Required Education and Experience:
- Must be 18 years or older at time of hire; and
- Graduation from High School or GED equivalent; or senior in high school on track to graduate; and
- One (1) year of experience with organized recreational activities, sports, and/or childcare; experience must demonstrate responsibility and customer service.
- Ability to supervise and lead recreational programs and activities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and staying calm under pressure
- Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
- Experience handling money accurately
- Familiarity with sports, games, and arts & crafts activities
Available Schedule:
- Rogue X is open 7 days a week from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM; hours will vary based on need and availability.
The anticipated hiring range for the Recreation Leader II position is $16.79 (first step) to $17.62 or $18.51 (second or third step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
