Greeters Celebration: A Night to Remember

Honoring Connection, Community, and the Faces Behind the Chamber’s Most Beloved Tradition

Last night, The Chamber of Medford & Jackson County gathered for one of our most joyful and energetic traditions — the annual Greeters Celebration! Hosted at the beautiful RoxyAnn Winery, this event was a time to reflect on the year’s successes, honor the individuals who make our weekly Greeters program so special, and most importantly, celebrate the power of connection and community.

With over 100 Chamber members and guests in attendance, the evening buzzed with energy, laughter, and a strong sense of camaraderie.

Guests gathered at RoxyAnn Winery to celebrate a year of connection and community.

Kicking Off the Celebration

Shelly Wager welcomed the crowd and shared a few announcements before offering heartfelt thanks to our Greeters Program sponsors: Hunter Communications, Chick-fil-A, and The Salvation Army.

Special thanks went out to DJ Veach for the tunes and to Alphalit for the stunning marquee — the perfect photo op for the evening!

The Alphalit marquee was a glowing highlight of the evening.

Recognizing Our Partners

Bill from Hunter Communications took the stage as the Program and Wine Sponsor, followed by remarks from our President & CEO, Eli Matthews, who acknowledged our incredible Chamber Ambassadors.

Cheers, Laughter & Celebration

We paused to sing a very special “Happy Birthday” to longtime Chamber member Richard Barney before diving into the awards ceremony — one of the highlights of the evening!

Bill and Sharre hosted the awards segment, with beautiful custom trophies provided by CraterWorks and Mike Jacobs. Here’s who took home the honors:

  • Best Dad Jokes: Charlie Kirschenmann
  • Location of the Year: BBSI
  • Community Spirit Award: Joe Walter
  • Attendance Champion: Greg Unger (who, hilariously, was not in attendance)
  • Best Tagline Award: Brenda Walter
  • Behind the Brand Award: Kelly’s Automotive
  • Rookie of the Year: Priti Patel

Our top honors went to:

  • New Greeter of the Year: Melissa Shreeve, introduced by Dan Mish with a musical tribute

Looking Ahead

We also introduced our 2025–2026 Co-Hosts, Hope and Joe, who are ready to keep the energy high and the connections flowing in the new program year.

Closing out the evening, we held gift drawings and celebrated with more music and networking, thanks to DJ Veach.

Final Thoughts

To all who came out — thank you. The Greeters program continues to thrive because of the people who show up, build relationships, and support one another. It’s more than a networking event — it’s a tradition rooted in community and care.

One last photo to capture the spirit of Greeters before we head into another great year.

Here’s to another unforgettable year of Greeters!
