Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be 15 years or older at time of hire; and
  • Graduation from High School or GED equivalent; or currently enrolled in school and on track for graduation.
Additional Special Requirements:
  • Discovery Preschool operates Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • Friday hours are 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • Applicants must be able to actively engage with preschool-aged children.
  • Duties include sitting on the floor and participating in hands-on activities.

Available Schedule:

  • Schedule will vary based on the needs of the program. 
  • Discovery Preschool operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Compensation & Information on Benefits:

The anticipated hiring range for the Recreation I position is $15.05 (first step) to $15.80 or $16.59 (second or third step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
